The role
We're recruiting Aluminium Welders (MIG/TIG) to support the welding of aluminium framework assemblies on a long term project. All candidates must complete and pass an on site weld test prior to starting.
Responsibilities
MIG/TIG welding on aluminium framework assemblies
Working from drawings/schematics and job packs
Producing consistent, high quality welds suitable for inspection/acceptance
Maintaining safe working practices and following site procedures
Supporting general fabrication tasks as required to meet project schedule
Essential experience
Proven, recent experience welding aluminium (MIG and/or TIG), ideally to a coded standard.
Ability to work accurately and consistently to quality standards
Comfortable working to drawings/specifications
Willingness and ability to attend and pass the on-site weld test in Renfrew
Desirable experience
Background welding structural/framework assemblies (frames, supports, modules)
Experience in industrial/infrastructure fabrication environments
Testing
In house weld test required to be undertaken in Renfrew
Successful candidates mobilise to site in Tranent following if successfulRates and Hours
Rate dependant on experience
£30/h - £35/h PAYE (plus £3.62 - £4.22/h holiday pay)
Holiday pay can be accrued or advanced
£40.18-£46.87/h Umbrella co
Contract length: 12-16 months
Standard Hours : Mon-Thu, 07:00 - 17:15
38 hour week
Overtime at x1.5 but project dependant and preference is core hours
