Purpose of Role
To be responsible for the winding of production and repair aviation components for power generation equipment.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
1. Winding of stators, rotors, field coils, and armatures using specialized enamel-coated copper wire, a variety of hand tools, and test equipment.
2. Solvent degreasing of components using ultrasonic cleaning equipment.
3. Brazing of connections using resistance & flame welding equipment.
4. Electrical testing using resistance and high voltage test equipment.
5. Undertake dimensional checks using verniers, height gauges, micrometers, and check gauges.
6. Numerate & literate (GCSE or equivalent Maths & English).
