Dean Close Foundation is looking to appoint a Residential Boarding House Tutor in our Preparatory School. We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and committed House Tutor to join our co-educational Christian boarding and day prep school for pupils aged 7-13.
This residential role combines boarding and daytime school responsibilities. In the Boarding Houses, the successful candidate will help create a warm, supportive “extended family” environment, building positive relationships with pupils and supporting the Houseparent and Head of Boarding. Duties include wake-ups, mealtimes, supervision, evening study support, activities, house prayers and bedtime routines on a rota basis.
During the school day, the role is to support across a variety of areas, including classroom assistance, PE and Games coaching (e.g. hockey, rugby, netball, cricket, tennis and swimming), break-time supervision, clubs and general school activities. There is flexibility to contribute in areas of particular interest or expertise.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and energetic individual considering a career in education, pastoral care or youth work, and who is keen to contribute fully to boarding school life.
Dean Close Foundation are a values-driven organisation that fosters love, courage, and contribution. You’ll be part of a supportive team that encourages creativity, compassion, and collaboration.
