We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable automotive service centre in Billingshurst for an experienced Service Receptionist. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a customer-facing environment, is highly organised, and has solid experience using the a service and workshop garage management system.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact for customers - in person and over the phone
Book in vehicle services, repairs, and MOTs using a a service and workshop garage management system.
Provide accurate estimates and updates to customers
Liaise between customers and the workshop to ensure timely progress updates
Create and manage job cards, invoices, and service records
Handle payments and end-of-day reconciliation
Support the Service Manager and wider team with general administrationAbout You
✅ Previous experience in a motor trade customer service or service advisor role
✅ Proficient in using a garage management software (essential)
✅ Confident communicator with a professional and friendly manner
✅ Highly organised with the ability to multitask in a busy reception area
✅ Good IT skills - comfortable using email, calendars, and digital filing systems
✅ A team player with a customer-first attitude
