We are looking for an enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join our team at one of our Conference Centres in Berkshire, SL6.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and confident chef de partie to join our professional friendly team. The successful candidate will need to be willing to learn new skills and gain knowledge from talented chef and be involved in the day to day service where we produce a high standard of food which includes buffet breakfast, lunch service, table d'hote dinners, weddings, BBQ's and banqueting.
The successful candidate will have experience working with fresh, on trend food in a similar role or environment. Consistency in food preparation and production is essential.
T his is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week, 5 out of 7 days on a rota basis. A degree of flexibility is required to cater to the needs of the business and the site.
This role involves:
1. Creating and serving imaginative food which is designed to exceed expectations.
2. Using fresh ingredients and cooking ‘little and often’ during service.
3. Serving food wherever possible plated, served in its own one portion dish/bowl, with the use of simple garnishes that are effective and relevant.
4. Being imaginative and innovative, ideas and innovations adapted to suit customer needs.
5. Managing the detail of front of house presentation.
6. Implementation of promotions and special days to enhance offering.
7. Adopting good food cost management techniques.
8. Influencing the catering team to instil a ’nothing is too much trouble’ approach.
9. Delivering imaginative and innovative menus.
As our Chef de Partie, you will:
10. Have excellent people skills
11. Have general knowledge of food hygiene, have completed at least one year at college or equivalent experience in a similar role.
12. Be passionate about food and customer service
13. Have superb culinary skills
14. Have good organisational and communication skills
15. Be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a large team
16. Be eligible to work in the UK
