Responsible for the installation and commissioning of BMS equipment on site. Ensure control and functionality as per scope of works, delivering all works safely and efficiently.
Personal duties
* Undertake BEMS servicing duties as per the scope of requirement issued via the business Projects team / technical drawings or specifications.
* Adhere to company Health and Safety policy, undertake works in accordance with RAMS.
* Understanding of HVAC and mechanical plant systems to ensure BEMS design solution is fit for purpose.
* In depth Knowledge of electrical control panels.
* Ability to read wiring diagrams and carry out full functional testing and where required modify BEMS control panels to ensure correct operation and compliance with the project scope of works.
* Ability to carry out on site control panel modifications to both new and existing control panels.
* Ability to read, carry out full functional testing and where required modify BEMS application software to ensure compliance with the project requirements.
* Ability to read, carry out full functional testing and where required modify BEMS headend Graphics to ensure compliance with the project requirements.
* Carry out client / end-user demonstrations of BEMS as required.
* Take ownership of the project from a site perspective, including the supervision of electrical installers where applicable.
* Act as a BEMS / HVAC specialist for the business's clients.
* Represent the company by providing excellent customer service and high-quality engineering support.
* Demonstrate a positive proactive approach to all tasks.
* Respond to customer requests for support or advice ensuring effective resolution of customer requirements or referring as appropriate.
* To work within a team to maintain and improve, productivity and efficiency whilst developing in a stable team-based environment.
* Develop, maintain, and improve relationships with the customer by providing expert advice and acting as a specialist resource.
* Manage smooth commissioning of the project by coordinating between the company and the customer.
* Provide individual project progress updates to the relevant project engineer in a timely manner and as directed by the company.
* Provide individual project reports, controller backups and graphics backups to the relevant project engineer in a timely manner and as directed by the company.
* Supervise and approve commissioning plans in accordance with project guidelines and timescales.
* Review designs and supervise onsite commissioning activities.
* Prepare and maintain commissioning records of site observations, testing processes and checklists.
* Assist with identification and redressal of commissioning and malfunction issues.
* Track and review progress.
* Compile commissioning report data, controller backups and graphics backups for summarizing.
* Assist in summarizing and updating commission records.
* Support service department if required with servicing works.
