We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Primary Care Nurse to join our Mental Health team at HMP Highpoint, a category C Prison located in the village of Stradishall in Suffolk. Highpoint is a male prison with a capacity of 1,370 inmates.
Highpoint Prison offers:

Hours
* Monday – Sunday service, 37.5 hours per week
* 7:45 am – 6:15 pm
* Every other weekend and bank holiday included as part of rota
* 4 week rolling rota
* Lower hours can be discussed
Salary
This position is full time. You will receive an annual salary up to £42,094 – £47,466 per annum FTE, depending on experience.

Job responsibilities
* You will lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse-led service and prevent hospital admissions
* You will undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening
* Seek out, listen to and act on feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to patients
* Deliver non-judgemental care that makes a real difference, as defined by our Health in Justice competency framework
* Inspire excellence by forging strong links with partners and stakeholders and providing a service that people can trust and feel safe within
* Evidence-based care and continuous quality improvement, embedding a culture of shared learning
* Build strong multi-disciplinary teams and support colleagues to perform well
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse – Adult
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development
* Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
* Non-judgemental and compassionate approach
* Excellent communication skills
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
