About the Company
Florette is one of three UK food manufacturing factories within Agrial Fresh Produce, which is an autonomous part of the larger 22,000 employee strong French co‑operative group, Agrial. The business operates mainly under the well‑recognised Florette salad brand and we are one of the UKs leading producers in the industry. Under the well‑known Florette brand, our site processes and distributes pre‑packed, ready‑to‑eat fresh salad bags and bowls to some of the UKs most well‑known supermarkets and retailers, as well as your favourite restaurants and fast‑food vendors. In total, we sell around 600,000 kg of products every week – an un-be‑leaf‑able amount! Agrial has operations across 18 regions, with 280 farming outlets and five different divisions, which comprise Beverage, Dairy, Meat, Fresh Produce & Agricultural operations; it’s not just about lettuce! As well as the two factories we also have a farming operation – Agrial Fresh Farms. All UK sites operate under the name of Agrial Fresh Produce Limited and fall under Agrials vegetable division. We have a recipe for success through our EPIC values and working together as one team.
Responsibilities
* Identify and rectify mechanical faults to machinery and equipment where able, invoking the escalation process
* Participate in process improvements through the CI framework
* Assist in install new plant and equipment when required
* Implement and ensure adherence to SOPS
* Complete rudimentary PPMs as instructed
* Manage inspections of equipment integrity on a daily basis
Qualifications
* Previous experience with industrial cookers/retorts, ideally in an FMCG or food environment
* A mechanical mindset
* Level 2 Food Hygiene Qualification is desirable
* Previous related experience with production machines, ideally in an FMCG or food environment
* Open to change and constantly drives for improvement
* A team player that supports the sharing of information and values the opinions of others
* Tenacious approach and a good communicator
