Position: Women's Recovery Practitioner Location: Gloucester Women's Centre/VIA Hubs Salary: £25,000 – £27,000 per annum dependent on experience Hours: Full Time – 35 hours per week Duration: Permanent At The Nelson Trust, our mission is to ensure that any woman experiencing multiple-complex needs has the opportunity to access our Women's Centres, where she can get the support she needs. Our model offers gender-responsive, trauma-informed practical and emotional support to address unmet needs, including housing, substance misuse, health, finance, previous trauma, children and families, and education, training, and employment. We aim to reduce social harms and re-offending while empowering women to reach their full potential. As a Women's Recovery Practitioner, you will provide holistic support for women with substance misuse needs in a gender-specific, trauma-informed service. You will work collaboratively with various support agencies to ensure continuity of care and help women achieve their goals. Key Responsibilities: Manage a caseload of women with substance misuse needs. Provide 1:1 practical and emotional support. Facilitate group interventions and comprehensive assessments. Collaborate with partner organisations and attend multi-agency meetings. Deliver evidence-based psychosocial interventions and harm reduction advice. Support women in their treatment journey to long-term recovery. Requirements: Experience working with women with multiple unmet needs and substance misuse. Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches and the criminal justice system. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to manage a caseload and work collaboratively with partner organisations. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of service users.
