Job Overview
The Anaesthetic Department at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust is currently looking to appoint a number of Clinical Fellows.
Successful applicants will be part of an on‑call rota (or trained up to go onto an on‑call rota), where they will be expected to cover nights, weekends and public holidays. There will also be an expectation to be flexible in terms of covering both elective theatre, emergency theatre, or intensive care, with the supervision of a consultant based on experience.
The department has many opportunities for colleagues to take part in projects and audits, and to gain experience in specific areas of interest.
Salary will be dependent on the level of experience of the successful applicant.
Responsibilities
* Cover elective lists in main theatres, obstetrics, and work in ICU as per the needs of the service (with consultant supervision).
* Provide service provision by undertaking on‑call commitments in emergency theatres, obstetric theatres, and ICU, based on current skills and clinical need.
* Engage with departmental education, governance, morbidity and mortality meetings and quality improvement.
