Description / Overall purpose of the Job
As a B1 Licensed Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the certification of maintenance and repairs on a variety of craft, including the popular H125, H135, H145 and the new H160.
Responsibilities
* Accomplishment of Maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by Maintenance Supervisors.
* Part 66 License in B1.3 (Turbine Rotorcraft) required for the certifying role.
* Work as a team leader, maintaining high standards to ensure continued safe operation of the aircraft.
* Work with UK CAA regulations, especially Parts 145, 145, Part M and UK ANO requirements.
* Complete maintenance tasks, including airframe structure, power plant and mechanical and electrical systems.
* Replace avionics line replaceable units, performing simple tests to prove their serviceability.
* Supervise maintenance fitters and certify their work.
* Engage with the customer and positively represent the company.
Knowledge and Skills
* Thorough knowledge of engine and airframe systems and specialised test equipment.
* Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
* Flexibility to the requirements of the company and the needs of the customer.
Education, Qualifications or Training
* Essential: Part 66 B1.3 Licence (UKCAA).
* Currency on type: EC135 / BK117 C-2 / BK117 D-2 / BK117 D-3 type rated.
* Type training on specific types will be given to a suitable candidate.
Additional Requirements
* DBS Security Clearance and eligibility for SC clearance.
* Compliance with ITAR and Export Compliance Regulations.
* Travel within the UK or abroad to support related business requirements.
