Mechanical Engineer - Ground Support Equipment (GSE)
A Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Mechanical Engineer is responsible for maintaining, repairing and operating specialised vehicles and equipment located at Heathrow Airport.
Working Hours
* 4 day on / 4 day off (6am – 6pm)
* Monday to Friday (9am – 5.30pm)

Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Repair vehicles and plant machinery as requested by the Workshop Supervisor
* Carry out inspections, brake and smoke tests, and show all defects to the Workshop Supervisor before commencing any repairs or booking out any parts
* Diagnose and inform the Workshop Supervisor of all work and parts required before commencing the job
* Present service orders via the tablet to the storeman to enable parts to be supplied
Knowledge and Skills Essential for This Role
* Motor mechanics / Mechanical engineering on HGVs and more
* Analytical and numerate with good communication skills
* Customer oriented / service delivery focussed
* General knowledge of health and safety regulations
* LGV Level 3 or equivalent in Motor Mechanics
