Critical Shift Technician – East London – £60,000 – HVAP Allowance Included This is a critical environment shift position for a qualified HVAP engineer. You will play a key role in maintaining uptime, safety, and compliance. This role suits someone who enjoys technical responsibility, strict procedures, and structured handovers. What You’ll Be Doing * Operating as HVAP on site electrical systems * Completing HV switching, isolations, and permit control within authorisation * Managing planned maintenance on critical electrical infrastructure * Fault finding on switchgear, UPS systems, generators, ATS, and distribution * Monitoring alarms, responding to incidents, and restoring services * Supporting planned shutdowns, change control, and outage planning * Coordinating subcontractors, managing RAMS, permits, and supervision * Completing compliance tasks, logbook updates, and evidence capture * Producing detailed shift handovers, incident reports, and escalation notes * Driving safety standards and ensuring procedures are followed consistently What We’re Looking For * NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent Level 3 * AM2 * 18th Edition * HVAP ticket * Experience in critical environments or high uptime sites * Strong admin skills, clear reporting, and strong permit discipline * Calm under pressure and confident leadi...
