Were looking for an IT Managed Service Engineer to join our team and deliver high-quality technical services to our Managed Service customers. This is a full-time field-based role with flexibility to work across various healthcare settings. Youll be responsible for installations, upgrades, break-fix support, and ongoing system maintenance.
What youll do
As an IT Managed Service Engineer, youll deliver technical services efficiently and professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction and system reliability. Youll provide on-site and remote support, maintain accurate documentation, and collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues swiftly.
Key responsibilities include:
Install and commission new systems, and upgrade existing hardware/software.
Provide break-fix and BAU support to customer systems.
Maintain regular communication with customers during service delivery.
Log and report issues thoroughly, referencing historical data where applicable.
Escalate critical technical issues to senior engineers or support teams.
Ensure data security and guard against data loss.
Complete personal admin tasks including mileage reporting and software sync.
Maintain boot stock levels and adhere to replenishment procedures.
Who youll be
Were seeking a technically skilled and customer-focused engineer with experience in field-based managed services. Youll bring strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high standards.
Skills and experience that will set you apart:
Experience in service desk or technical support roles.
Knowledge of Microsoft server and workstation operating systems.
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., Hyper-V).
Strong TCP/IP and Windows networking skills.
Familiarity with MS Active Directory and configuration of switches/routers.
Experience troubleshooting peripherals in NHS or corporate environments.
Excellent planning, reporting, and organizational skills.
Full UK driving license and enhanced DBS clearance.
Relevant technical certifications (e.g., MTA, Azure, ITIL).
