We are currently recruiting an Operational Purchasing Assistant to join our site in Wilton. There would be opportunities to progress to Senior Operational Purchasing Assistant.
Pay, benefits and more:
We’re looking to pay up to £24,960 per annum. As you progress onto a senior role, your pay will reflect this. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
1. Procure material and services on time, as specified.
2. Achieve this result at the lowest possible cost by challenging in-company demands, policies and practices and reaching optimal and commercial conditions.
3. Expediting of orders.
4. Support on deviation additional work.
5. Ensure on time payment suppliers.
6. Continuously improve the Purchase to Pay process.
7. Ensure compliance to regional legislation (i.e., Reach), global standards, requirements, policies and procedures including EHSS.
8. Support on complaint handling / claim.
9. Support on supplier evaluation.
What you need to succeed at XPO:
10. Office based working hours are Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm
11. Based on Wilton International Site
12. Previous experience in Procurement is advantageous.
13. To succeed at XPO you’ll need to have a sense of accountability and take ownership of tasks once you start them – there’s a great chance to progress if you make an impression.
14. A strong eye for detail
15. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
16. ICT Knowledge: Office systems (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
17. Experience in SAP
