Job Description:
1. Supervise individual staff members and oversee team responsibilities, including case management.
2. Operate within financial and budgetary guidelines for care delivery and make decisions on behalf of the Locality Manager when requested.
3. Propose improvements for team practice and develop systems for data recording and performance management.
4. Deputise for the Locality Manager as required.
5. Collaborate with statutory, voluntary, and independent sector agencies, taking on liaison or development roles.
6. Promote safeguarding and participate in related casework.
7. Address staff performance issues, including sickness, conduct, and case management, by bringing them to the Locality Manager's attention and implementing action plans.
8. Manage team duty and referral systems, including monitoring and development.
9. Chair reviews, case conferences, and meetings in the absence of or as delegated by the Locality Manager.
10. Support staff development through induction, training plans, and practice teaching.
11. Ensure data quality and integrity of management information systems.
12. Review team work quality against standards and advise the Locality Manager of any concerns.
13. Serve as a resource for evidence-based practice and research, proposing local practice improvements.
14. Assist in recruitment, selection, and induction of new staff.
15. Undertake statutory duties as per authorized responsibilities.
16. Provide professional advice and support in specific areas of expertise.
17. Keep the Locality Manager informed of issues affecting service standards and development.
18. Contribute to responses in civil contingencies.
19. Perform other related duties as required.
