Our client, a leader in the water sector, is currently seeking a Project Engineer to join their team in Havant. This permanent role offers a unique opportunity to support the delivery of key MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation) works across water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the delivery of mechanical packages within wider MEICA scopes.
* Coordinate design reviews, procurement, installation, and commissioning of mechanical plant and equipment.
* Work closely with site teams, suppliers, and the principal contractor to ensure smooth and safe delivery.
* Maintain project documentation, including quality records, Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), and compliance reports.
* Monitor progress and help resolve on-site technical issues where required.
Job Requirements
* Experience delivering mechanical works within the UK water industry (Water Treatment Works, Wastewater Treatment Works, pumping stations, etc.).
* Sound technical knowledge of pumps, pipework, valves, and associated mechanical systems.
* Familiarity with site-based delivery, Health & Safety compliance, and water sector quality standards.
* Strong communication and coordination skills.
* CSCS card and UK driving licence essential. SMSTS and relevant mechanical qualifications preferred.
