About the Role:
As an English Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering engaging and challenging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will foster a love for literature and language, encouraging students to develop their analytical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality English lessons that are tailored to the needs of individual students, ensuring all students are engaged and challenged.
* Create a stimulating and interactive learning environment that promotes active participation, collaboration, and a love of learning.
* Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student understanding and engagement with literary texts and language concepts.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted support.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the English curriculum, ensuring it aligns with the school's high standards.
* Contribute to the school's extracurricular English activities, such as book clubs, debating societies, and creative writing workshops.
Ideal Candidate:
* A passion for English literature and language, with a strong understanding of literary analysis and creative writing.
* A relevant teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent) and a strong academic background in English.
* Proven experience teaching English at secondary level, ideally within an Outstanding Ofsted-rated school.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
* A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Ability to inspire and motivate students to develop their critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills.
