Are you a motivated Junior Accounts Assistant with experience in a small to medium-sized accountancy practice? Were looking for someone like you to join our friendly team in North Shields!
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with solid accounts preparation experience who’s looking to grow their career in a supportive and professional environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
* Handling bookkeeping using Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
* Preparing and submitting VAT returns
* Assisting with management accounts and general reconciliations
* Liaising with clients to collect documentation and answer queries
* Supporting the wider team with day-to-day accounting tasks
What We’re Looking For:
* 1–2 years experience in an accountancy practice (UK-based)
* Comfortable preparing accounts and working with accounting software
* Knowledge of VAT, bookkeeping, and basic accounting principles
* Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude
* AAT Level 3 (or working towards) or similar qualification preferred
