The role
As a Project Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be part of an international company that’s continually innovating. Our aspirations are big – and you’ll help make them possible.
Day-to-day, as a Project Manager you’ll have a key role in supporting the delivery of capability and service under our Land Cyber Electromagnetic Activity contracts in support of our customers and stakeholders. You will:
1. Support Delivery, Innovation and Growth Teams through implementing and maintaining project controls.
2. Embed improvements, maintaining the ERP system end to end, supporting the development and delivery of change proposals alongside the Service Management team.
3. Effective planning monitoring and control, establishing reporting, provision of information to the Land Cyber Electromagnetic Activity leadership team to inform decision making including working closely with finance, commercial, supply chain and engineering to provide insights into financial variances, and supporting wider ad hoc activities as necessary to evolve the department.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides Hybrid working arrangements with 2-3 days onsite. The role may involve some regular travel between customer and Babcock sites such as Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire.
Essential experience of the Project Manager
4. Knowledge and experience in application of project controls tools and how these tools operate to provide key information for decision making.
5. This role requires a broad range of skills including project management, stakeholder management and an operational mindset.
6. You will have knowledge and experience of project management processes and tools.
7. Excellent interpersonal skills.
8. Experience with Cyber Electromagnetic Activity contracts and/or complex defence and communications programmes is beneficial.
Qualifications for the Project Manager
9. Association for Project Management’s Project Management Qualification, Chartered status or equivalent.
10. Experience and familiarity with ITIL frameworks is beneficial.
