We're supporting a leading organisation in the UK utilities sector as they invest heavily in modern security, Zero Trust, and enterprise-wide transformation. This is a standout opportunity for an experienced Cyber Security Architect who wants to shape secure‑by‑design principles, influence strategy, and work across complex cloud and on‑prem environments.
You’ll join a forward‑looking Architecture function at the start of a new five‑year investment cycle, designed around digital modernisation, cloud resilience and major security uplift programmes. If you enjoy owning security outcomes, driving architectural direction, and working with senior stakeholders, this is a role where you’ll have real impact.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Leading security architecture for major enterprise platforms and transformation initiatives
* Defining Secure‑by‑Design patterns and embedding them across delivery teams
* Acting as Product Owner for a flagship cyber programme with roadmap ownership
* Designing pragmatic security solutions across cloud, data, identity, and network domains
* Working closely with senior stakeholders, delivery squads and enterprise architects
* Contributing to large‑scale Zero Trust adoption across the organisation
What You’ll Bring
* Experience in security architecture within a large enterprise
* Knowledge across multiple security domains (IAM, SIEM, DLP, EDR/EPP, PAM, CASB, etc.)
* Strong understanding of security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, NISD)
* Excellent stakeholder communication and ability to influence at senior levels
* Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP (or equivalent experience)
