Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Hybrid Azure & Networking)
Central Bristol | Hybrid (2-3 days a week on site)
Package: £60,000 - £70,000 + up to 15% bonus + profit share scheme
Are you an experienced Infrastructure Engineer who enjoys team leadership?
This is an opportunity to join a 6-person IT Operations team responsible for a hybrid infrastructure environment spanning Azure, networking, and on-prem virtual platforms.
You will work closely with the Team Manager, owning BAU coordination, and acting as the senior escalation point for the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Team Manager with technical leadership across the team
Take ownership of BAU task management, stand-ups, and delivery deadlines
Act as the escalation point for P1 incidents and technical blockers
Communicate confidently with engineers and senior leadership, translating technical detail into business language
Reduce operational workload from the manager while escalating strategically when required
Support Microsoft 365, Azure IaaS/PaaS, Teams, Exchange Online, and integrated SaaS platforms
Manage hybrid infrastructure including Azure and on-prem VMware
Own networking across Azure and on-prem (VNets, routing, firewalls, hybrid connectivity)
