Salary
Base salary ranging from £32,600 to £37,600, depending on experience and qualifications.

Hours
Monthly contracted hours – between 150 and 170 hours, pro rota, dependent upon rota patterns and days in each month.
Qualifications
* QCF Level 3/4 Residential Childcare/Level 3/4 Diploma Children and Young People’s Workforce
* Full UK driving license
* DBS on the update service
* Experience working with children and young people in a care setting
* PACE Training

While prior experience in a care or support setting is preferred, we welcome applicants who have a genuine passion for improving the lives of children and young people. This role requires a full UK driving license (essential car user post), excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to remain enthusiastic and resilient in challenging situations.

Responsibilities
* The desire and passion to safeguard, motivate, and inspire young people in your care.
* Good communication skills to work effectively with colleagues, in addition to working closely alongside other external professionals.
* Provide a warm, nurturing and supportive environment for our young people to thrive in.
* Handle challenging behaviour effectively and professionally.
* Make good decisions based on risk assessment and the needs of the children and your colleagues.
* Assist with the day‑to‑day functions of the home and provide care based on specific individual needs.
* Prepare the young people for independent life, supporting them with tasks such as cooking, personal care, behaviour management and general life skills.
* Work collaboratively with various multi‑agencies, such as Social Services, the NHS, and the Police, to engineer the best outcomes for our children.
