Assistant Technical Officer - Cardiographer

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Cardiographer to join our dynamic team at Northumbria Healthcare. In this role, you will play a critical part in diagnosing and monitoring heart conditions through the use of diagnostic equipment. Main duties of the job
* To perform a range of routine and urgent cardiac investigations including 12 Lead Electrocardiographs (ECG).
* Fit and remove 24 hour Ambulatory ECG Monitors, Event Recorders and 24 hour Blood Pressure(BP) monitors (with ECG) on both in-patients and out-patients.
* Continually obtain accurate test results from a wide cross section of patients.
* Maintain confidentiality at all times.
* Configure medical device and perform basic IT functions.
* Support with other specialist diagnostic testing.

Job responsibilities
* After a period of formal in-house training, you would be required to be competent in identifying the correct lead positions in performing a 12 lead ECG, knowledge of basic cardiac rhythms and life threatening arrhythmias is desirable.
* Approximately 60,000 tests annually covering a wide range of cardiac investigations. Population of 450,000
* Fit and remove 24 hour Ambulatory ECG Monitors, Event Recorders and 24 hour Blood Pressure(BP) monitors (with ECG) on both in-patients and out-patients.
* Continually obtain accurate test results from a wide cross section of patients.
* Maintain confidentiality at all times.
* Configure medical device and perform basic IT functions.
* Support with other specialist diagnostic testing.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE standard
Experience and Knowledge
* Previous experience dealing with the public
