Are you looking for a regular Salaried GP post? A new opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Salaried GP seeking to work 4 sessions to join our friendly team of 11 GP's at Lower Broughton Health Centre in Salford, just a stone's throw away from Manchester city centre.
This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to work in an aspirational and thriving practice with some great colleagues. We are heavily invested in teaching and are a Salford GP Training practice, as well as a University of Manchester Training Site for undergraduate students.
Role Description
* You should aspire to contribute to our team ethos to deliver the highest standard of clinical care and safety for our patients.
* We pride ourselves on our culture of supporting each other and our patients, and would seek to employ somebody who is equally adaptable and flexible.
* Our requirement is for 4 sessions per week, currently Monday 9-6pm and Thursday with oncall duties up to 6.30pm. There may be a requirement to adjust the working day from 10-8pm to cover annual leave for our extended access provision on either a Monday, or cover our branch sites.
* We welcome innovation and new skills to our team, and we are keen to support your development in both clinical and non clinical areas. We have supported newly qualified GPs with HEE fellowships previously.
The Practice
* Split over 2 sites looking after 11,500 patients in M6 and M7 Areas of Greater Manchester.
* 2 Partners, 10 Salaried GPs (3 Fellows), 3 GP STs, 2 Nurses, 3 HCAs, Practice Pharmacist, ARRS roles in practice, and a well organised and helpful team of reception staff.
* High retention rate of staff.
* EMIS web IT system with AccuRx for patient messaging and Triage.
* Surgery Connect telephone system.
* A paperlight practice with organised Docman Workflow.
Sessions
* Up to 13 patients per session, face to face or telephone, 15 minute appointments. Low home visiting numbers.
* We run a buddy system to cover leave / absence.
* Fair allocation of non patient facing work – docman, lab results, prescriptions, supervision, visits, meetings.
Terms
* Terms as per BMA contract, 6 weeks annual leave and 1 week study leave pro‑rata.
* Excellent financial package of competitive sessional rate c.£10k/session + NHS pension + perks.
* Defence union fees paid in full through practice scheme for non GMS practice work.
* Private Medical Insurance package with Axa PPP healthcare included.
* Special interests & personal wellbeing support and development, 3 of our GPs are currently undertaking HEE fellowships, and a further 3 are undertaking clinical supervisor training.
