We’re looking for experienced Senior Underwriters who bring technical expertise, commercial awareness, and the drive to grow portfolios in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
The Opportunity
This is more than a trading role.
As a Senior Underwriter you will:
* Underwrite new and renewal Specialty lines, combining technical expertise with commercial judgement
* Build and strengthen broker relationships to expand portfolios and influence regional growth
* Negotiate and structure profitable, sustainable business
* Act as a technical reference and mentor to colleagues
* Analyse market trends, portfolio performance, and emerging risks to shape strategy
You’ll have autonomy to make decisions, drive growth, and actively contribute to the ongoing evolution of the Specialty division.
Who We’re Looking For
* Strong experience across one or more Specialty lines, including Professional Indemnity, liability, or commercial property
* Proven success in broker relationship management and business development
* Confident trader with commercial awareness and negotiation skills
* Collaborative, proactive, and resilient
* Optional: relevant insurance qualifications (DIP CII, ACII)
