Responsibilities
* As a Bank Registered Nurse, carry out directed patient care to a high standard without direct supervision in line with established nursing procedures and policies.
* Report significant changes in a patient’s condition to the appropriate members of the multidisciplinary team.
* Take personal responsibility for the delivery of care of patients in a defined area.
* Contribute towards health promotion by providing education, support and advice as necessary.
* Ensure referral to appropriate professionals or agencies as required.
* Ensure safe ordering, administration and custody of patients’ medications according to Trust policies and procedures.
* In the absence of senior staff, delegate and supervise appropriate work to other qualified staff, healthcare assistants and students.
* Assist in coordinating discharge planning in partnership with the multidisciplinary team where relevant.
Applicants Must
* Hold RN (adult) registration with current NMC licence to practice.
* Minimum of 12 months post-qualification experience (15 months for NQN’s — 3 months preceptorship, then 12 months acute experience).
* Recent acute hospital experience within the last 18–24 months.
* Ability to commit to a 4-day induction programme if successful.
* Right to work in the UK (with relevant Adaptation/ONP if applicable).
* Ability to commence work within 3 months of offer.
