* Position: Lecturer in Electrical Installation
* Contract: Permanent, full-time role
* Location: Newcastle
* Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
* Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on qualification and experience
* Teaching Load: 864 hours per year (~23.3 hours/week over 37 weeks)

As student numbers grow, we’re supporting a college in Newcastle to expand their Electrical Installation courses. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Lecturer in Electrical Installation to deliver high-quality teaching, training, and support.
We welcome industry professionals who wish to pass on their experience to apprentices and learners. The College will fund and support your relevant teaching qualifications. This role is ideal for those with hands-on industry experience considering new career paths, with full support and training provided by a management team, many of whom are former industry workers.
About the Role:
You will deliver both practical and theoretical sessions in Electrical Installation, from hands-on workshop training to classroom learning. You will guide students through topics such as AC theory, single and three-phase systems, and the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, helping them develop industry-ready skills.
You will also create engaging lesson plans, assess learner progress, and support students to reach their full potential.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Teaching and assessing Electrical Installation qualifications (up to Level 3)
* Delivering practical training and underpinning knowledge in workshops and classrooms
* Supporting students' academic and personal development through tutorials and coaching
* Collaborating with course teams on curriculum planning and improvements
* Maintaining communication with parents, schools, and employers
* Participating in examinations, assessments, and tracking student progress
What We’re Looking For:
* Strong knowledge and experience in Electrical Installation
* Ability to teach up to Level 3 confidently
* Minimum qualification of NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
* A flexible, enthusiastic attitude and commitment to high standards
* A positive, supportive approach to learners
* Experience in teaching or mentoring
* Experience in course leadership or lecturing (preferred but not essential)
