About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Five Wells, a category C Prison located in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. The prison has its own pharmacy on site with 7 wings, each with a medical admin. Our Pharmacy Team is currently made up of 1 Pharmacy Manager, 3 Pharmacists, 2 Senior Pharmacy Technicians, 4 Pharmacy Technicians, and 4 Pharmacy assistants.
Shift Pattern
* Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday
* Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
View to work 1 in 4 weekends soon. This position is full time and offers an annual salary up to £41,659 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high‑quality prison pharmaceutical service, maintaining a high level of security at all times.
* Work within the healthcare department and provide direct patient contact as part of a comprehensive healthcare package based on the prison service's needs.
* Promote safe patient care.
* Develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.

Required Qualifications
* Hold NVQ Level 3, BTEC, or equivalent qualifications and current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
* Relevant post‑qualification experience working within a pharmacy environment and multi‑disciplinary team.
* Ability to work within a busy environment.
* Ability to work unsupervised while following policy and procedures.
Desirable
Experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment is desirable but not essential.
