Overview
Join the CNC Machinist (EDM) role at AETC Ltd. This position operates CNC Machines (EDM) in line with workload requirements, ensuring parts are machined to meet customer requirements and strict quality standards. Full training will be given to support the right candidate. Base pay range is provided below; actual pay is based on skills and experience and discussed with the recruiter.

Salary
* Basic: £14.71
* Shift: 21% - £3.09 (three shifts)
* Total hourly rate: £17.80
* Potential uplift after training: basic £15.86 + 21% shift = £19.19 total
Hours
37-hour contract with a 3-shift pattern (morning, afternoon and night rotation). Training hours may differ during initial period.
* Morning: 05:45 – 13:45, Monday – Thursday; 05:45 – 10:45 Friday
* Afternoon: 13:45 – 21:45, Monday – Thursday; 10:45 – 15:45 Friday
* Night: 21:45 – 05:45, Monday – Thursday; 15:45 – 20:45 Friday
Key Responsibilities
* Operating CNC Machines, ensuring parts are machined in accordance with the agreed method specification
* Attain machine setting skills to enable machine set ups in line with Company requirements
* Understanding of engineering drawings, ensuring fixtures are correctly aligned
* Inspecting parts in line with quality procedures and taking any necessary, approved actions to resolve quality issues
* Operating CMM machines to support inspection requirements
* Consistently achieving all targets (production, quality, housekeeping, etc.) as set by the Cell Manager
* Adherence to all company policies and procedures, including SOX, Code of Conduct and Health and Safety
Requirements
* Previous experience in CNC EDM is advantageous but not essential
* Previous experience in CNC machining is advantageous
* Experience within an Aerospace sector is advantageous
* Ability to read engineering drawings
* Able to self-inspect own parts using manual measuring equipment
* Experience of using machinery is advantageous
* Right to Work in the UK (sponsorship not available)

Holiday entitlement: 26 days plus 7 statutory days. Increases after 2 years to 27 days and after 10 years to 28 days. Overtime available and paid at agreed rates.
