Location: Oldham, Chadderton
Salary: £30, – £32,

Currently working with a fantastic Client based in Oldham, Chadderton, one of the U.K’s largest suppliers of lighting, with products on the shelves of many major DIY chains and Department Stores.
Working hours are – Monday – Friday 08:30am – 5:00pm
What you can expect:
Responsibilities:
The Import Ledger Clerk/Purchase Ledger Clerk will work in a fast-paced team. You will monitor, record and provide accurate financial information relating to cash management and imports.
1. Liaising with overseas suppliers, forwarders and the bank
2. Making daily payments to factories based in China
3. Posting daily cashbook journals
4. Matching goods in notes, freight and inspection invoices to supplier invoices
5. Reconciling and posting monthly deferment statements
6. Reconciling supplier statements
7. Raising debit notes against delivery statements
8. Sending out shipping documents to forwarders with commodity codes for customs clearance
9. Running ‘stock received not invoiced’ report, investigating and resolving any queries
10. Keeping supplier accounts tidy/internal programme reconciliation
11. Dealing with a large volume of e-mails
12. InternalCorrespondence/Communication
Profile:
The Ideal Candidate will have a diverse set of skills, you will need :
13. Relevant experience for all aspects of the role, Import and Purchase Ledger
14. Have a “will do” attitude.
15. Strong Microsoft Office skills
16. Be able to work to constantly changing deadlines.
17. Business Central knowledge, not desirable (but desirable)
18. Import experience is essential
