Due to internal progression, we have an exciting opportunity to join our team within our Chartwells sector at Compass Group UK & Ireland. This role will be based at our head office in Birmingham with flexibility to work from home 2 days per week.
As an Assistant Finance Manager in Compass, you will perform an influential and high-profile role delivering financial and commercial support to the Chartwells business sector. Through effective business partnering, the role aims to continually improve service levels, cost effectiveness, and add value to commercial activities undertaken.

In this role, you will:
* Provide commercial acumen to drive efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction
* Engage in business partnering - driving contractual performance and understanding key stakeholders (finance and non-finance)
* Provide commercial insight and analysis to support operational decision making
* Manage and develop junior finance team members
* Identify areas for process improvements and lead implementation to drive efficiencies
* Own the financial results and reporting, including budgeting and forecasting
* Ensure financial control and governance, including contractual compliance and adherence to financial policies
* Present financial results and insights at client and internal meetings
Who you are:
* A Newly Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with diverse accounting experience
* Skilled in business partnering with senior stakeholders, capable of challenging, influencing, and persuading at all levels
* High numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail
* Proficient in developing and working with complex spreadsheets
* Experience in commercial finance, improving business results, and adding value
* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
* Ability to analyze, evaluate, and present information clearly and concisely
Desirable:
* Experience working within a multi-site, multi-contract organization
* Good knowledge of SAP & Cognos
