Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Maintenance Teams perform repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure longer lifespan of machines and facilities. Each team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area, as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures. Our Maintenance Team supports our Wire and Cable and Materials Manufacturing Facilities as part of a dedicated team with electrical and mechanical skill sets. The Maintenance Team is vital to our Production Facility, ensuring equipment is serviced on schedule and breakdowns are resolved promptly.
Responsibilities
* Oversee daily breakdowns and services in our Wire and Cable and Materials facilities.
* React to unscheduled equipment problems and coordinate necessary activities to resolve them.
* Manage, coach, and develop our Technician Team to meet objectives and maintain high service standards.
* Support, coach, and mentor Apprentices to help them gain necessary experience.
* Monitor, identify, and implement improvements within the Maintenance function.
* Move between facilities as priorities require.
* Attend and present at Tier 3 meetings to liaise with Production Teams on priorities.
* Address health and safety concerns raised by Production Teams.
* Introduce a continuous improvement culture aligned with our TEOA program.
* Identify repeat failures and implement preventative actions.
* Interface between Maintenance, Facilities, Process, and Projects Departments.
* Monitor, review, and respond to Key Performance Indicators.
* Deputize for the Maintenance Manager as needed.
* Work independently with minimal supervision.
Candidate Background
* Proven experience in maintenance within an industrial environment.
* At least 5 years of people management experience.
* Experience working in various production environments.
* Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
* Experience with PLC controls and motor drives is a plus.
* Flexibility to switch between different machines and disciplines.
* Proficient in PC applications and experience with a CMMS package.
* Strong organizational and communication skills, capable of producing and presenting project justifications.
* Demonstrates a 'lead by example' approach within the Maintenance Team.
