We are partnering with an established and growing manufacturing organisation to appoint a Business Development Manager. This is a key commercial role focused on identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic relationships, and driving revenue growth across UK and international markets.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and secure new business opportunities within target markets
* Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with company growth objectives
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners
* Manage the full sales cycle from initial engagement through to contract negotiation and close
* Collaborate with internal technical and operational teams to deliver tailored client solutions
* Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities
* Represent the business at industry events, exhibitions, and client meetings
* Provide accurate forecasting, reporting, and pipeline management
Key Requirements
* Proven track record in business development within a manufacturing, industrial, or technical environment
* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to deliver measurable revenue growth
* Experience managing complex sales cycles and high-value contracts
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
* Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven approach
* Ability to understand and communicate technical products or services (experience within chemicals or related sectors advantageous)
