Make an Impact in our Audit Technical Team at RSM UK
Our National Audit Technical Services (NATS) is responsible for maintaining and driving the technical quality of the audit firm\'s operational procedures, providing technical support to partners and staff on technical accounting and financial reporting matters, and conducting quality control reviews. We are expanding our financial reporting and audit technical teams to meet anticipated growth, continue to provide technical accounting support, ensure quality, identify efficiencies, and lead on implementing financial reporting changes as they are published. This is an exciting time to join the team as a Technical Senior Manager and be part of our journey. Some travel to regional offices is expected.
Responsibilities below describe how you will contribute to this role.
Responsibilities
* Act as a financial reporting specialist on complex audits, providing audit teams with targeted expertise on the subject matter to support high audit quality
* Perform second opinion reviews of technical accounting matters under IFRS and UK GAAP, developing the audit teams in the process
* Assist with financial and non-financial reporting consultations submitted to the firm\'s service desk
* Draft internal technical communications and practice aids for corporate reporting
* Serve as a point of contact for informal technical queries from client-facing Partners and staff in your local region, and support other offices nationwide
Qualifications
* ACA/ACCA qualified - or equivalent
* Experience of working as a Manager or Senior Manager within a technical team would be preferred; candidates from larger firms with audit methodology experience will also be considered
* Strong IFRS and UK GAAP financial reporting knowledge
* Experience of performing technical reviews of UK Premium, Standard and AIM listed entity financial statements to ensure compliance with reporting requirements
* Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
