About the Opportunity

NRL is recruiting on behalf of a client for experienced Project Managers to support their long-term work. This is an exciting opportunity to lead complex nuclear projects within one of the UK’s most safety-critical environments, contributing directly to the UK’s clean energy future.

What You’ll Be Doing

As Project Manager, you will:

* Lead the safe delivery of projects in line with company procedures and client expectations, ensuring all project objectives are achieved within the agreed time, cost, and quality baselines.
* Develop and implement project execution strategies in agreement with the client’s Project Portfolio Manager (PPM).
* Coordinate cross-functional project teams, engaging with internal departments, client stakeholders, and supply chain partners.
* Ensure effective management of project scope, risks, budgets, and schedules throughout the full lifecycle.
* Uphold high standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance, including adherence to CDM and other regulatory frameworks.
* Prepare key project documentation including business cases, sanction papers, and performance reports.
* Act as the main point of contact between the client and the Operations Manager for project delivery.
* Occasionally travel to other UK sites as required.

What You’ll Need

* A degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
* A formal project management qualification (e.g., APM PMQ, PRINCE2) and a strong grasp of modern PM methodologies.
* Proven experience leading projects through their full lifecycle, ideally within nuclear, energy, or similarly regulated environments.
* Strong understanding of engineering, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and commercial contracting.
* Knowledge of safety cases, CDM regulations, and environmental and health & safety legislation.
* Demonstrated experience with estimating, cost control, risk management, Earned Value tools, and use of planning and reporting software.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills with a collaborative, results-driven mindset.
* Has the ability to gain security clearance.

Benefits

* Competitive salary and benefits package.
* Free single medical cover and access to digital GP services.
* Enhanced parental leave pay and family-friendly benefits.
* Professional development support, including reimbursement for memberships.
* Participation in Amentum’s Collectively programme (paid volunteering, matched donations, and more).
* Flexible and hybrid working options may be available, depending on the project requirements.
