Company overview
Alloyed is a young venture-funded company of about 200 world-class metallurgists, engineers, and software developers working across 3 sites in the UK, 1 in Japan, and 1 in Seattle to build the future of advanced metal components. To do this it uses proprietary software packages which combine advanced machine learning and physical modelling to invent better alloys, devise better ways to process them, and design better 3D-printed components.
The Role
Argive, a division of Alloyed, is currently designing microturbine engines for a range of jet propulsion applications. The system architecture is simple, with outer diameters ranging between 60-240mm considered. The products use additive manufacturing to increase performance compared to state-of-the-art incorporating complex designs and proprietary high temperature materials, including nickel superalloys. The engines also have a consolidated part count and can be manufactured and scaled cost-competitively in the UK on Alloyed's assets.
Argive is seeking a motivated Programme Manager coordinate planning, execution, and delivery across all workstreams within Alloyed's development and production programmes for Argive's scalable propulsion product range. Reporting jointly to the Chief Engineer and the Commercial Director, you will manage risks, schedules, and interdependencies to keep programmes on track, facilitate communication and decision-making between teams and stakeholders, and adapt plans to accommodate changes in scope, resources, or external requirements.
You will be based at Alloyed's site in Yarnton, but travel to other Alloyed sites local to Oxford will be required. From time to time you may also support activities at other facilities in the UK, or abroad. A highly competitive remuneration package is offered, including equity incentives.

Manage programme schedules, risks, and interdependencies, proactively identifying and resolving issues to maintain momentum and delivery confidence
Fully understand and actively manage programme cost including oversight of spend across programme activities and cost reporting to the Commercial Director
Support contract management for ongoing customers and liaise with other Alloyed departments as required to facilitate efficient supplier management
Facilitate clear, timely communication and decision-making between cross-functional teams, divisional leadership, and external stakeholders
Adapt programme plans and resource allocations in response to changes in scope, priorities, or external requirements, maintaining agility without compromising quality or compliance
Track progress against key milestones, prepare concise status reports, and drive action-oriented programme reviews
Support the development and maintenance of robust documentation, including risk registers, programme plans, and decision logs
Experience: you must have
2–5 years of industrial experience, including 1–2 years in complex project or programme management within an engineering or technical environment
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
High emotional intelligence (EQ), with a collaborative and independent mindset
Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple priorities and adapt to fast-changing circumstances
Demonstrated ability to identify, assess, and escalate risks in dynamic, high-uncertainty environments
Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Gantt charts, risk registers, action trackers) and standard office software
Experience: you should have
Technical background (degree in engineering, physical sciences, or similar)
Experience working in fast-paced, agile, and risk-tolerant development and production environments
Familiarity with stage-gate processes, design verification planning (DVP), and test readiness reviews (TRR)
Exposure to manufacturing, aerospace, or advanced technology sectors
Experience with collaborative platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Confluence) and configuration management tools
Understanding of compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO9001, APQP) and export controls (e.g., ITAR/EAR)
