Renal Patient Transport Driver (Band 2) – Windsor Dialysis, Windsor, SL4 5EY
We are looking for a motivated and highly enthusiastic individual to drive vehicles to transport patients of the Trust's Haemodialysis Satellite Unit in Windsor safely to and from their homes or place of residence based on pre‑determined schedules. The post involves covering all shifts (06.00–12.30 midnight) from Monday to Saturday, with no night duty. A Fringe payment of 5% of gross basic salary is awarded.
Key Responsibilities
* Transport patients to and from their residence in a safe and professional manner.
* Adhere to the Road Traffic Act, DVLA regulations and Trust induction procedures.
* Maintain patient comfort and safety while driving various patient transport vehicles.
* Follow predetermined schedules and organise routes as appropriate.
* Keep up to date with vehicle regulations and mandatory driver training.
Requirements
* Must hold a valid Category C1 driving licence.
* Full driving licence, Cat D, Cat C1 listed.
* Previous vocational driving experience with evidence of driving similar vehicles.
* Experience making deliveries to a schedule and record keeping.
* Experience working within the NHS (preferred).
* First Aid competency.
* Good knowledge of Windsor and surrounding areas.
