Specialist Housing Occupational Therapist (Adult Social Care)
Location: Liverpool, hybrid working
Rate of pay: £30 - £39.45p/h
Contract: Full time locum contract
Our Local Authority client are recruiting a locum Specialist Housing Occupational Therapist for their Adult Social Care Service in Liverpool.
Key responsibilities:
* Recommend and organise the supply of equipment and structural adaptations to meet the assessed need.
* Complete strength based assessments for people with disabilities within the Council's eligibility criteria, applying the Care Act 2014 and other relevant legislation.
* Demonstrate to people with disabilities and their carers in the use of equipment and/or adaptations provided.
* Maintain accurate electronic social care records, to manage a diverse caseload and action outcome of assessments within agreed service standards.
Requirements:
* A recognised degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
* Experience in moving and handling.
* Experience of working within a community setting with a knowledge of equipment, minor and major adaptations.
