Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Support Admin Assistant within our Business Support Team based at The Johnnie Walker Bond in Kilmarnock.
This role is pivotal to ensure the smooth operation of the District Nursing Single Point of Contact and support the Business Support Team administering referrals for 13 District Nursing bases across East Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership.
Hours and Shift Pattern:
The post is 37 hours working Mon – Fri 8am – 5pm with potential for 5 over 7 day working being introduced as well as potential for working hours changing to 8am – 10pm on a rotation shift basis.
This post is offered on a permanent basis.

As a Business Support Admin Assistant will provide a comprehensive, community-orientated administrative and clerical support to the District Nursing Single Point of Contact Business Support Team.
The role of the post holder is instrumental in ensuring the flow of communication, from a variety of sources projecting a positive, professional image for the whole function and in particular when acting as first point of contact for the service.
To be the first point of contact for patients and visitors / callers to the service, ensuring that all enquiries are dealt with promptly and efficiently, providing a positive image, ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times and adhere to all organisational policies and procedures.
You will be required to work flexibly to cover staff absences, and any periods of particular pressure.

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
* HND in Business Administration OR equivalent demonstrable experience plus knowledge of specialist functional / medical / legal terms, organisational policies and procedures and knowledge and experience to deal with non-routine issues such as problem solving for areas of work or developing alternative or additional procedures.
* Experience of supervising and supporting an administration team.
* Experience in minute taking of meetings.
* Ability to work autonomously and manage own workload.
* Proficient IT skills.
* Supported the development, maintenance and reporting of performance management information and the collation of statistical information.
* Broad experience and understanding of the operation of NHS and / or Social Care Services.
* Effective networking capabilities and ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with key partners;
* Used Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
* Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
* Knowledge of the various information systems within Health and / or Social Care.
* Knowledge and understanding of the requirements the Partnership has to comply with in relation to Caldicott guidelines and Data Protection.
* Knowledge and understanding of services delivered by East Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership.
* Have a knowledge of Health and Safety requirements within an office environment.
