We are seeking an experienced Gearbox Fitter to join our dynamic team.

As our Gearbox Fitter you will be responsible for:
* Involvement of day-to-day workshop in relation to quality, H&S and environmental activities.
* Dismantling of all types of gearboxes producing concise accurate reports for management
* Assembling gearboxes accurately so they are ready for installation
* Interpreting engineering data and documentation such as engineering drawings, technical data and computer-generated programmes
* Working under minimum supervision, taking responsibility for the quality and accuracy of the work, you undertake
* Being pro-active in finding solutions to problems and identifying areas for improving the business
* Ensuring standard work practices and procedures are being followed
* Responding to emergency situations
In order to be successful in this role you must have:
* Apprenticeship in associated field or adequate experience
* Health & safety, environmental or quality training would an advantage but not essential
* Working knowledge of various types of gearboxes
* Ability to work to instruction and on own initiative
* Selecting and using a range of measuring and testing equipment to check components are to the required quality and accuracy
* Read and interpret engineering data
* To be able to demonstrate problem solving skills to solve and repair issues efficiently and effectively
