Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Monmouth

A small but growing SEN school in Monmouth is seeking a full-time Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their friendly and dedicated team. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in providing consistent one-to-one support for a pupil with autism, as well as contributing to the wider classroom environment. You will use empathy, creativity, and strong communication skills to help the pupil engage with learning and build positive relationships.

What we’re looking for
To succeed as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you should:
• Hold HLTA status or have substantial experience supporting teaching and learning in schools
• Have experience supporting pupils with autism or other additional learning needs
• Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Be patient, adaptable, and proactive in your approach to learning support
• Collaborate effectively with teachers and other professionals to ensure high-quality provision
• Bring creativity, enthusiasm, and a genuine commitment to inclusive education
