Yeovil
Old Mill
Financial planner
Posted: 21 May
Offer description

Are you someone who enjoys supporting people, improving processes and delivering excellent client service?

We are looking for a Team Leader to join our growing Financial Planning team at Old Mill, supporting both Client Service Administrators and Client Managers across our network of offices.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong organisational and operational experience who enjoys helping teams work effectively and creating a positive, supportive environment. You may already be working in a team leader or senior support role, or perhaps you are ready to take the next step in your career.

This role combines team coordination, operational support and people development within a busy and collaborative Financial Planning environment.

At Old Mill, our Financial Planning teams play a critical role in delivering an exceptional experience to our clients and supporting our Advisers to provide high-quality, personal advice. This role sits at the heart of that operation.

The Opportunity

This is a varied and people-focused role where no two days are the same. You will work closely with Financial Planners, operational leaders and support teams to help ensure client work is delivered efficiently, accurately and to the high standards our clients expect.

Alongside supporting the smooth running of the team, you will help coordinate workloads, support colleagues in their development and act as a key point of contact within the Financial Planning support function.

You will play a key role in:

* Supporting and coordinating members of the Financial Planning support team
* Assisting with workload management and day-to-day team organisation
* Helping maintain excellent client service standards across the team
* Working closely with Financial Planners to support client delivery
* Identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working
* Supporting onboarding, training and development of team members
* Acting as a point of support for day-to-day operational queries
* Maintaining accurate client records and ensuring compliance with internal processes and external regulation

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys combining people support with hands-on operational involvement and who wants to play an important role within a collaborative and growing team.

About You

We are looking for someone with experience working within a client-focused, fast-paced environment who enjoys supporting colleagues and helping teams operate effectively.

You will be highly organised, approachable and confident managing competing priorities, whilst bringing strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.

Your skills and experience may include:

* Experience supporting, mentoring or coordinating others within a team
* Strong organisational and administrative skills
* Experience working within a client-focused or professional services environment
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Confidence communicating with clients, colleagues and stakeholders
* Experience improving processes and supporting operational efficiency
* The ability to prioritise workloads and manage deadlines effectively
* A collaborative and supportive approach to team working

Experience within Financial Planning, Wealth Management or Financial Services would be advantageous, but is not essential. We are equally interested in individuals with transferable experience from other professional or client service environments.

Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, or working towards this, would be advantageous but is not essential.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who shares our values and wants to help create a positive, supportive and well-organised team environment.
