Training Business Manager required for Norse Highways
Based in our Ketteringham Depot, Norfolk - NR9 3AZ
£41,.62 to £46,.90 per annum
40 hours per week

Norse Highways manages and maintains Norfolks highways on behalf of Norfolk County Council. Alongside this, we have our Fast Lane Training Services (FLTS) department dedicated to providing accredited training and assessment for the highways and construction sector. Within our FLTS team we are seeking a Training Business Manager to oversee all aspects of the Training that we provide throughout Norse Highways.
This position is being offered on a Permanent, Full-Time basis working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Role responsibilities
In this role as Training Business Manager, you will be expected to carry out the following:
* Manage, monitor and report on the FLTS budget, ensuring training is costeffective and aligned with organisational priorities, taking corrective action when needed.
* Maintain accurate training records and all required qualification/Awarding Body documentation.
* Lead the pricing strategy to meet commercial and financial targets.
* Agree annual activity plans and budgets with Highways Senior Managers.
* Lead Awarding Body and centre audits, managing and acting on any findings.
* Oversee marketing activities, including website, social media, and printed materials.
* Work with Norse Highways Operations Managers annually to identify training needs and create the functional training plan, ensuring learning supports performance, compliance and H&S requirements.
* Manage, coordinate and report on L&D plans for Norse Highways, Fleet and NCC Highways Services.
* Plan, manage and report on training delivery and team deployment, ensuring staff, plant and materials are available for effective FLTS delivery.
* Identify business opportunities and lead strategic improvements, including postimplementation review.
* Build relationships with other providers and competitors to expand training support across the Norse Group nationally.
* Carry out course administration, including bookings, client information, course materials, candidate registration, results submission and certification.
Candidate requirements
We are seeking applicants with:
* Experience in managing revenue budgets and financial targets, with the ability to forecast demand and plan resource utilisation.
* Management skills to manage and motivate the team.
* Able to build storing client accounts and ensuring customer satisfaction.
