Overview
Highly Specialist Speech & Language Therapist role at Oxford Outcomes. Location: Red Moor School, Lanlivery PL30 5BT. Salary: Up to £53,200 pro rata (dependent on experience).
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, hours to overlap with core school hours (Part time hours may be considered). Contract: Permanent (term time only, or flexibility around full-time contract can be discussed based on personal circumstances).
We are a multidisciplinary clinical team in an education setting, delivering speech and language therapy in collaboration with education teams to support pupils with developmental trauma, neurodivergence or SEMH needs. A probationary period applies, followed by a CPD-focused development plan including a £2,000 training allowance.
Responsibilities
* Hold a Speech and Language Therapy caseload within an in-house clinical team, delivering bespoke SLT assessment and intervention in an education setting.
* Collaborate with the education team, adhere to the OFG Speech and Language Therapy Ways of Working, and consider governing and professional body requirements.
* Provide staff training and ongoing consultation as required; contribute to service development and quality improvement.
* Support pupil outcomes through person-centred practice and safeguarding best practices.
* Engage in research activities and audits as part of clinical development.
Essential Criteria
* Recognised Speech & Language Therapy degree
* Valid HCPC registration
* Registered member of RCSLT
* At least 5+ years of practicing experience at specialist level with the client group in a similar setting
* Strong specialist knowledge and clinical understanding; ability to work in multi-disciplinary settings and contribute to team performance
* Experience in communicating with families/relatives and carers; training development and delivering presentations
* Experience providing professional and clinical supervision; involvement in research projects and audits
* Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills
* Advanced knowledge of SaLT practice and RCSLT standards; understanding of neurodivergence, cognitive differences, trauma-informed practice
