Role: Senior Electronics Engineer
Location: Shipley, West Yorkshire + Hybrid Work from Home and flexi hours
Salary: Up to £70,000 + Benefits
Company: KO2 (forward‑thinking technology company) are seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to join their multi‑disciplinary team developing the next generation of wireless communication products.
This is a hands‑on, end‑to‑end role – you will play a key role in electronics design process from concept and prototyping through to production handover, ensuring every design meets exacting standards of performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven experience with PCB design tools (Altium Designer and/or PADS Logic/Layout).
* Experience designing multi‑layer PCBs.
* Strong experience with digital electronic circuits.
* Experience with a host of serial and comms protocols (RS232, RS485, Ethernet, SPI, UART etc).
* Degree in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
* 5+ years of professional experience in electronics design.
* Proven track record delivering products within multi‑disciplinary development environments.
* Eligible for, or already hold, SC‑level security clearance (British citizenship required).
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative, cross‑functional team.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead hardware design, including embedded processor systems, PCBs and communication interfaces.
* Perform PCB schematic capture and layout, including component library creation and management.
* Ensure designs meet all EMC compliance and performance standards.
* Collaborate closely with RF, firmware, and mechanical teams through all stages of development and production.
