Main Duties of the Job
The role is a 2‑year fixed‑term full‑time placement and will involve the trainee rotating through all of the specialist sections of the pharmacy department. The trainee is supported throughout the training period and, with guidance, will learn to complete a range of tasks within timescales to a competent standard.
You will undertake and complete an apprenticeship to obtain a Certificate of Higher Education in Pharmacy Technician Practice, which involves working with an assessor to develop a work‑based portfolio, undertaking work‑based assessments, and completing assignments.

Qualifications and Training
* Minimum of three GCSEs or equivalent at Grade A*-C (or New GCSE grades 4‑9) including Mathematics, English Language and one Science subject.
* NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services.

* Ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal format.
* Ability to take responsibility for own development.
* Well organised and methodical.
* Demonstrable effective team‑working skills.
* Ability to work accurately and sustain concentration under pressure.
* Good at practical problem‑solving.
* Time management, including ability to produce work to deadlines.
* Able to produce assignments using a computer.
* Demonstrable interest in science or medicines.
* Experience of working in a Pharmacy or customer‑orientated service (part‑time or voluntary).

* Ability to travel to the three main hospital sites (Ashford, Canterbury and Margate).
