We are seeking a highly motivated and forward‑thinking Locum Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with a specialist interest in Head and Neck Oncology and Reconstruction to join our team at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust (UHP). This is a 12‑month fixed term locum post which includes an on‑call commitment and offers a dynamic, expanding department. There may be an opportunity to extend the contract and support to follow the Portfolio pathway may also be given.
Responsibilities
* Deliver and develop our surgical head and neck oncology service.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, apply evidence‑based practice and drive continuous service improvement.
* Perform anterior skull base resections and joint neurosurgical procedures (highly desirable).
Qualifications
* Evidence of OMFS training.
* On the GMC Specialist list in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, or within 6 months of eligibility for inclusion.
Experience
* Evidence of ability to perform sub‑speciality procedures.
* Demonstrate wide based knowledge.
