We want to provide support based on the principles of choice, dignity and respect. This resonates in our vision of ‘Your Life, Your Choice’ and our strategy ‘Best Lives Possible’.
We have strong values and we’re proud to pioneer new ways of delivering social care to stand out in our sector. In the past two years, we have won or made the shortlist for over national and regional awards!
We are also focused on our people. Our Support Workers are dedicated and passionate about going ‘the extra mile’ for the people we support and in return, we go the extra mile for them by investing in pay, recognition, wellbeing and continued professional and personal development. We will provide you with all the training, support and personal protective equipment you need in your role and will help you develop, should you decide you want to develop your career with us.
Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
I am a gentleman in my 60s and I live in my own flat. Things that I find challenging are my epilepsy, my mobility issues. I get support from the staff to live independently as I’m diagnoses with a Learning disability.
Due to my Epilepsy being extreme, the staff need to be able to support me through seizures and also be Buccal midazolam trained, as I may need this medication administrating during a particularly bad seizure.
I am very proud that I am able to live in my own flat, I have cactus’ that I care for and ensure they have water, but not too much!
I enjoy gardening with the staff, watching tv, when I do this though I like to be on my own to watch TV in the quiet.
Its important that the staff support me with my mobility as I am unsteady on my feet.
My aspiration is to go on holiday somewhere nice.
I have a regular team that support me throughout each day and night, I have the support of one person each shift. The staff are a mix of male and female staff and they work 07.00-22.00 and a sleep night just in case I need support during the night.
I need the staff to be Buccal trained and cushion lite training
