We are open to speaking with ideally Principal/Senior or Experienced Overhead Line Design Engineers to explore future opportunities within our Transmission & Distribution team in UK offices.
Responsibilities
* Delivery of a wide range of OHL projects; producing and reviewing technical documents in line with industry standards.
* Development of design criteria, conductor selection, structure type selection, insulation coordination and lightning performance.
* Development of typical OHL design deliverables – including line schedules, plan/profile drawings, staking tables and special crossings design.
* Conduct feasibility studies to assess technical and economic viability of proposed projects.
* Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (e.g., civil, structural) to ensure overall project integrity.

Qualifications
* Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Structural or Civil Engineering, or industry experience if coming from a hands-on/construction pathway.
* CEng, IEng registration or working towards registration would be beneficial.
* Experience as an Overhead Line Design Engineer or similar on Transmission and Distribution projects.
* Experience using PLS-CADD to carry out both new OHL designs and modifications to existing designs.
* Experience working on projects requiring UK design requirements.
* Strong understanding of complimentary T&D disciplines to OHL Design (e.g., HV Plant design, HV Cable design, or T&D Civil design) is beneficial.
* Experience developing OHL deliverables and managing OHL delivery across multiple projects.
* Team player with a passion for innovation and client service, with ambitions to tackle engineering challenges as the team grows in the sector.
